The word cancer seems to be simple, but actually can be extended to a the broadest term. Notably, it outlines the disease which results when the cellular transitions occur and cause the uncontrolled growth and division of cells. Few types of cancer cause rapid cell growth, while few cause the cells to grow and divide at a slower rate. This is to say, some of the cancers result in visible growths called tumors.

Smoking is the main reason behind many diseases, and it certainly contributes to cancer as well. Significantly, the most common cancer these days is lung cancer, majorly caused by smoking. Evidently, as the numbers suggest, tobacco smoke contains 7,000 chemicals. In addition, at least 70 of them are carcinogens, lifting the risk of cancer in nearly every part of the body.
Consumption of excessive sugar!
People now a days have started to consume too much sugar. The latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that consumption of more than 12 teaspoons of sugars a day is not good for health. However, the average American gets 17 teaspoons of sugar in their diet. Eating too much sugar can lead to obesity and inflammation and both are the cancer risk factors.
Intake of processed meats!
The International Agency for Research on Cancer, in 2015 officially stated that the processed meat are as a human carcinogen. Notably, they are made with the chemicals that damage cells in the colon and rectum. In fact, eating just 1.8 ounces a day can increase your risk of colorectal cancer by 18 percent.
Eating processed food!
Yeral Patel, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician in Newport Beach, California says, “Processed foods are packed with myriad toxic chemicals which can increase cancer risk. Consumption of processed foods causes inflammation—one of the leading contributors to cancer—and these foods also lack key micronutrients (essential vitamins and minerals) on which our bodies depend to rid themselves of harmful toxins.”
