Ryan Dorsey, the popular American actor shared a heartfelt note for his ex-spouse, Naya Rivera, on her first death anniversary. Naya, the ‘Glee’ actress died in July 2020 in an accidental drowning incident.
Ryan paid tribute to his wife and wrote, “Today…A year ago we laid you to rest. I still can’t believe it. The year has flown by, so fast that it doesn’t seem like it’s been a year at all.”
Ryan Dorsey, 30 via his Instagram handle shared the collage picture of his ex-wife and son, Josey along with this message on Saturday, July 25.
The actor, while speaking to Sophie Ranald, the author of ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ became emotional while talking about his on, Josey, 5. He noted, “Josey is ‘inquisitive’ but ‘sweet’ and ‘so funny,’ and he is a happy, smiling little boy. Dorsey said he’s coping well in the wake of losing his mother.”
He added to his statement and said, “He’s doing ok. He’s such a resilient strong kid. He misses you but knows he’ll see you again, and the invisible string is something that’s helped us out during this ever-evolving transition of your time with us on earth that was unfairly & for reasons we’ll never understand cut short…too soon…”
The death incident of Naya Rivera took place at Lake Piru near Los Angeles, California. The body of the actress was recovered after the extensive five-day search operation. However, her son, Josey, was discovered, sleeping alone in the boat which they rented after Naya failed to return it.
Later, Naya’s father conversed about how Josey is coping with the loss of his mother following the painful and devastating experience he had on the lake.
He further also clarified, “We handle him and we talk to him just like he’s a 5-year-old going on six. It’s no different but when he wants to talk about his mother, we talk about his mother, in conversation. He’s growing up and handling it really well.”
