Amazon Prime Video is subscription-based video-on-demand streaming and rental service of, Inc. offered as part of Amazon’s Prime subscription or as a standalone service. It distributes TV series and films produced by Amazon Studios or licensed to Amazon and hosts content from other providers, live sporting events, content add-ons and purchasing services, video rental. The service operates worldwide. The service can be accessed in countries such as the US, UK, and Germany without a full Prime subscription. In contrast, it can only be accessed through a dedicated website in Australia, India, France, Canada, Italy, and Turkey. It was launched on 7 September 2006.

The Handmaiden – This is a South Korean erotic psychological thriller film. Park Chan-wook directed the film, which is inspired by the 2002 novel Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. The setting of the film changed from Victorian-era Britain to Korea under Japanese colonial rule. Con man wooing a Japanese heiress and once they get married to commit her to an asylum. But his pickpocket partner, who poses as her maid, stays away from the plan. The film was released on 1 June 2016.

Manchester by the Sea – This is an American independent tragedy film directed and written by Kenneth Lonergan. A depressed man is shown who, after his brother dies, has to take care of his brother’s teenage son. The film was released on 18 November 2016.

Paterson – This is a drama film directed and written by Jim Jarmusch. Adam Driver can be seen as a bus driver and poet named Paterson. Golshifteh Farahani as his wife who dreams of opening a cupcake business and a country music star. The film was released on 28 December 2016.

You Were Never Really Here – This is a psychological thriller film directed and written by Lynne Ramsay. The film is based on the 2013 novella of the same name by Jonathan Ames. A politician hires a traumatized mercenary named Joe to find and rescue his daughter. A human trafficking network has kidnaped his daughter, and Joe has to destroy them by any violent means. The film was released on 6 April 2018.

Pass Over – This is an American drama film directed by Spike Lee. This is a filmed performance of the play of the same name by Antoinette Nwandu. The main cast includes Julian Parker and Michael Hill, and both play two young men and dream about on the sidewalk their promised land from their fixed spot. The film was released on 20 April 2018.

Cold War – This is a historical drama film and Pawel Pawlikowski directed the film and Piotr Borkowski, Janusz Głowacki, Pawel did the screenplay . The film is set in a ravaged, post-World War II Poland. Zula is an ambitious young singer who hides identity. Wiktor is a jazz musician who holds auditions for a state-sponsored folk music ensemble. The film was released on 31 August 2018.

King Lear – This is a British-American TV film directed by Richard Eyre. It is an adaptation of the play by the same name by Willam Shakespeare. Anthony Hopkins is seen starring in the title character. The film is set in highly militarized London, 21st-century, and when the sovereign King Lear announces the end of his reign shows the tragedy that follows and among his three daughters division of his kingdom. The film was released on 28 September 2018.

Suspiria – This is a supernatural horror film screenplay by David Kajganich and directed by Luca Guadagnino. The film is inspired by the 1977 Italian film directed by Dario Argento. It stars Dakota Johson as an American woman, and she in Berlin enrols in a dance academy run by a coven of witches. The film was released on 26 October 2018.

Honey Boy – This is an American drama film with a screenplay by Shia LaBeouf and directed by Alma Harel. The film is based on Shia’s childhood and relationship with his father. Otis is traumatized after days on set, accompanied by his father. His father is a former rodeo clown. The film was released on 8 November 2019.

Selah and the Spades – This is an American drama film directed and written by Tayarisha Poe. A senior lead Spades (faction) who sell drugs to other students. But the senior is about to graduate, so must find the right candidate to carry on the legacy. The film was released on 17 April 2020.

The Vast of Night – This is an American science fiction mystery film starring Sierra McCormick and Jake Horowitz. The film is directed by Andrew Patterson and co-produced and written by Craig W. Sanger and Andrew. It is based on the Foss Lake disappearance and Kecksburg UFO incident and is set in 1950s New Mexico. Over there, Everett Sloan, a radio disc jockey and Crocker, a young switchboard operator, discovers a strange audio frequency that could be extraterrestrial in origin. The film was released on 29 May 2020.

Get Duked! – This is a British black comedy film directed and written by Ninian Doff. The film follows one nerd, three slacker students, and their mundane teacher to the Scottish Highlands. The purpose of the visit is to win an award involving navigating the area using just a paper map. They end up finding themselves against the murderous hunter, the Duke. The film was released on 28 August 2020.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm – This is a Mockumentary comedy film directed by Jason Woliner. Sacha Baron Cohen can be seen as a Kazakh TV personality and journalist Borat Sagdiyev and Maria Bakalova as his daughter Tutar. She was offered as a bride to US Vicepresident during the 2020 presidential election. The film was released on 23 October 2020.

Small Axe – This is a British anthology film series directed and created by Steve McQueen. It consists of 5 films that tell unique stories about the lives of West Indian immigrants in London from the 1960s to the 1980s. The film was released on 15 November 2020.

Sound of Metal – This is an American drama film co-written and directed by Darius Marder. The film stars Riz Ahmed as a metal drummer who lost his hearing ability. He struggles with drug addiction. He is forced to settle in the deaf community and to learn American Sign Language. The film was released on 20 November 2020.

Uncle Frank – This is an American comedy-drama film co-produced and directed by Alan Ball. The film stars Sophia Lillis and Paul Bettany. Set in the 1970s, this is a road film about a gay man and his relationship with his family, including college student Beth and his niece. The film was released on 25 November 2020.

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things – This is an American science fiction romantic comedy-drama film. Ian Samuels is the director of the film and screenplay by Lev Grossman, based upon his short story of the same name. The film stars Kyle Allen (Mark) and Kathryn Newton (Margaret). The story of two teenagers stuck in a time loop has to repeat the same day without any choice. In their meeting, they save someone from falling into a pool by a beach ball. The film was released on 12 February 2021.

Blow the Man Down – This is an American black comedy thriller film. The film is directed and written by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy. Set in a snowy fishing town in Maine, Sophie Lowe and Morgan Saylor play the sister’s role. After a man tries to attack one of them they both try to hide a body and soon find themselves find the town matriarchs’ dark secrets, which is a mystery. The film was released on 20 March 2021.
